In 2002, I finished a degree in Mathematics applied to Statistical Sciences. After that, I start a professional training in Centro de Histocompatibilidade do Norte (CHN) on biostatistics and informatics. In 2012, CHN was replaced by a new Instituto Português do Sangue e Transplantação, IP where I maintained my professional activity. Since 2021, I have been a statistical specialist at Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal) working within the administrative data unit.
In 2008, I finished a master in Public Health covering Biostatistics, epidemiology, data management, health politics, and health management.
As a Biostatistician, I wrote and published scientific papers and several presentations for scientific congresses. I have worked on descriptive and analytical observational studies in fields like transplantation, genetic association, colorectal cancer, pneumology, and radiology.

In 2024, I got my PhD in Health Data Science gaining expertise in machine learning techniques, computational statistics, and shiny apps development.
I have team spirit, a good ability to adapt to multicultural environments, leadership skills, and good experience in project and team management, gained through my work experience abroad and my experience as a Quality Manager and Quality Auditor. 
As a data scientist, I'm experienced in Real World Data Analysis; I have advanced SQL skills and I'm proficient in using R for data analysis and model deployment.
